Ranking Every Macaron Flavor We've Ever Made

Ranking Every Macaron Flavor We've Ever Made

We have made a lot of macaron flavors over the years, from timeless classics to flavors that probably should not work as well as they do (looking at you, Cap'n Crunch Berry). We asked our team to rank their favorites. Here is where things landed, and yes, this list will start arguments.

The Classics Tier
Vanilla Bean, Double Chocolate, and Lemon are the flavors that never leave the case, and for good reason. They are the benchmark: if a bakery cannot nail a vanilla bean macaron, nothing else matters. Ours hold up.

The Crowd-Pleasers
Nutella and Cookies and Cream consistently sell out first. They are the flavors people buy for someone else and then quietly wish they had bought two boxes.

The Unexpected Favorites
Green Tea Matcha and Guava do not get talked about as much, but they have built a genuine following. If you have only tried the classics, these are the ones worth branching out for.

The Cereal Flavors, Yes, Really
Fruity Pebbles and Cap'n Crunch Berry should not work on paper, a French pastry meeting American breakfast cereal, but they are some of our most requested flavors, especially for younger customers and novelty gifting.

Where to Start If You're New
If you have never had a Macadons macaron, we would point you toward Vanilla Bean or Double Chocolate first, then work your way toward the cereal flavors once you know what a correct macaron tastes like.
